a tactical role playing Advanced Game Project within the USC Games program. Gameplay revolves around managing your Chain powers to strengthen you own allies, or convince enemies to become your allies. Violence isn't always the answer!
Using Figma, my core responsibilities included prototyping UI for most of the core menus and functions in the game, including level selection and combat scenarios. It also involved working with a UI team of four and an overall team of over sixty people.
In Unchained, players must manage the physical and emotional health of their team AND the enemy team. In and out of combat, the UI must keep players aware of a wide variety of stats. Determining what info is important and when was crucial.
Myself and others on the UI team utilized iconography, coloring, and font choices/sizes to keep the right info at the forefront.
